Event Description




The event takes place from 6.-12. of May 2019. You will spend four days on a Danish folk high school together with young europeans, and tre days at the summit on the Youth Island. The results from the summit will be handed over to the newly elected European Parliament later this year. 

Let your voice be heard!


Criteria for participation

Due to a limit of 100 participants from Europe in YEiV, the applicants must live up to these few but important elegibility criteria:

  • Applicants must be between 18-25 years old at the time of applying
  • You must be an EU citizen
  • You cannot be a Danish citizen
  • Include a short motivational message about why you want to be a part of Young Europe is Voting (box in the application)
  • List your priorities of topics from 1-5 (1 is your favorite)


Important dates

The deadline for applying to YEiV is February 24. 2019. You will receive a confirmation email shortly after completing the application. Further information on whether or not you are going to be a participant follows as soon as we have looked through the recieved applications. You can expect clarification no later than March 1st.

Costs and Travelexpences

We cover up to 265 Euros for transportation to Denmark. Meals, accommodation and transportation in Denmark will be covered as well. 


We encourage you to:

  • Sign up for this time im voting
  • Make a short video for the This Time I’m Voting campaign. However, this is not a requirement for your participation.

 

The folk high schools

There will be ensured transportation to the respective ten folk high schools at your arrival in Denmark. During 'Young Europe is Voting' the folk high schools will deal with specific themes, namely: 

Climate
Culture and Identity
EU in the world 
Refugees and migration
Youth under pressure
